Ice-Water Phase Change Studies in Plastic and Non-Plastic Silts

چکیده

This article presents experimental results and analysis of change in freezing characteristics clays silts with pH moisture content the pore structures. The plastic non-plastic cold regions undergo significant changes thermal properties causing non-equilibrium conditions which can lead to frost-heave, thaw-weakening, thawing-induced landslides, mass wasting events. In geotechnical engineering, particularly regions, a soil’s play large role design, functionality, longevity an earthen structure. soil will also govern porous media phase influencing hysteresis heat capacity soils. These variables seasonal freeze–thaw cycles, structure, fabric, density, content, strength over time. With global warming temperatures gradually rise time, rapidly varying cycles are now becoming issue areas where designs have relied heavily on permafrost. research study investigates fundamental thawing frost penetration rates (cooling rate); (liquid limit, optimum content); (2–7); type different percentages fines specific surface area.
